ന്യൂഡല്ഹി| സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറിനെ തുടര്ന്ന് ഡല്ഹിയില് നിന്ന് അമേരിക്കയിലെക്ക് പുറപ്പെട്ട എയര് ഇന്ത്യ വിമാനം എട്ട് മണിക്കൂറോളം ആകാശത്ത് പറന്ന ശേഷം വീണ്ടും ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വിമാനത്താവളത്തില് അടിയന്തിരമായി തിരിച്ചിറക്കി.
അമേരിക്കയിലെ സാന്ഫ്രാന്സിസ്കോയിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്നു വിമാനം. എയര് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ എഐ-173 വിമാനമാണ് സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറിലായത്. വിമാനത്തിന്റെ എഞ്ചിന് തകരാറാണ് അടിയന്തിര ലാന്ഡിംഗിലേക്ക് നയിച്ചതെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട്.
എന്നാല്, വിമാനത്തില് വന്തോതില് ഇന്ധനം ബാക്കിയുണ്ടായിരുന്നതിനാല് സുരക്ഷിതമായി ലാന്ഡിംഗ് നടത്തുന്നതിനായി മണിക്കൂറുകളോളം ആകാശത്ത് വട്ടമിട്ട് പറന്ന് ഇന്ധനം തീര്ത്ത ശേഷമാണ് റണ്വേയില് ഇറക്കിയത്. വിമാനത്തിലെ യാത്രക്കാരും ജീവനക്കാരും പൂര്ണ്ണ സുരക്ഷിതരാണെന്നും എയര് ഇന്ത്യ വക്താവ് അറിയിച്ചു.
യാത്രക്കാര്ക്കായി ബദല് യാത്രാ സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കുമെന്നും ഹോട്ടല് താമസം ഉള്പ്പെടെയുള്ള സഹായങ്ങള് നല്കുമെന്നും എയര് ഇന്ത്യ വക്താവ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
