Hina Khan has been bravely battling stage 3 breast cancer. Despite going through a difficult period in her life, the actress seizes every opportunity to inspire others with her glimpses of her journey. Despite enduring chemotherapy, she has not backed down from completing her professional obligations and continues to do so. In a latest interview, the actress mentioned how returning to work and keeping herself busy has made it much easier to survive this grim phase in her life.
Hina Khan not only worked on several acting projects but also walked the ramp last year despite undergoing treatment. She walked the runway at the Ahmedabad Times Fashion Week 2024 dressed as a bride. Speaking about her decision to be out in the limelight, Hina told Hindustan Times, “The reason I wanted to normalize it from the day I got to know about my diagnosis was that I knew I have to keep going and I have to behave as normal as I can be. I did that to whatever extent I could. Whatever I have done, whether it was a ramp walk while my chemo cycles were on, whether it was a small campaign I shot at home, or whatever little tiny I could do gave me so much happiness and strength.”

Hina endured chemotherapy to fight cancer and has since returned to work. She has been promoting her latest web show, Griha Laxmi, and mentioned in the same interview that she loves her routine lifestyle. Despite health complications, she liked reading scripts and talking to her team about her outfits for the day. “All of this excites me,” noted Hina. She added “The only thing in this entire world which keeps me away and on my toes, and I forget what is happening in the world, is my work,” she says with a smile.
Hina Khan’s Griha Laxmi began streaming on EPIC ON on January 16, 2025. According to the teaser, the series is set in a fictional village called Betalgadh and follows the narrative of Laxmi, a typical housewife whose life takes a dramatic turn into the underworld of drugs and crime. To support her family, she is compelled to engage in a perilous game, eventually becoming the queen of an illegal empire. Griha Laxmi also features Chunky Panday, Rahul Dev, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya and is directed by Rumaan Kidwai.
