Days after the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra west-based apartment in Mumbai, police reached Lilavati hospital on Saturday, i.e., January 18 to record his statement.
However, doctors refused to grant the permission on medical grounds. Moreover, actor Khan’s statement is likely to be recorded either on Sunday or Monday.
Earlier on Friday, the actor was shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward of the hospital. As per the doctors treating him, he’s out of danger now and is being monitored closely.
Suspect held in Chhattishgarh
The suspect in the case was nabbed by the Raipur Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Durg, Chhattisgarh. He will be handed over to the Mumbai police for further investigation.
As per a report by news agency ANI, he was travelling by the Jnaneswari Express train at the time of the arrest.
In the early hours of January 14, Tueday, actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife at his Bandra west-based residence in Mumbai, which caused him injuries in his spine, arm and neck. Later, he was rushed to Lilavati hospital by his eight-year-old son Taimur along with a caretaker.
