Alaya F calls her apartment in Mumbai’s northern suburbs her “hustle home”.
Alaya F, daughter of veteran actress Pooja Bedi and her ex-husband, Farhan Furniturewala, is known for her classic taste. Alaya made her acting debut in 2020 with the comedy film Jawaani Jaaneman. Recently, we got a glimpse into her aesthetic Mumbai home, which is a complete reflection of her personality.
Alaya F calls her apartment in Mumbai’s northern suburbs her “hustle home”. Describing her home, in a conversation with Architectural Digest, the 27-year-old actor stated, “I am a true Mumbaikar at heart,” adding, “I don’t think I could live anywhere else except perhaps in New York.: Further, drawing comparisons between her two homes in two cities, she shared, “They are similar in terms of the hustle culture they have. That’s the energy of this home to keep moving. This is the home that I’m in to work hard, so I can build towards my dream home.”

In a video shared on the official handle of Architectural Digest, we can get an entry into Alaya F’s cosy yet beautifully designed home. The opening frame shows the actress pulling inside her pink door with her initials embossed in white. This takes us inside her cream-coloured living room, which was illuminated with floor-to-ceiling wall-sized windows and transparent curtains letting the light come in. It features cosy sofas kept in front of naturalistically painted walls, a dining table, metal lights hanging from the ceiling and many other elements in neutral shades.
The fitness and beauty content creator’s home also boasts spaces that mirror her ambitions. Altogether, her home has been aligned with her idea of the big roles that even small spaces can play—in this case, her bedroom, office and filming location rolled into one. Talking about the same, she stated, “I needed every room to serve multiple purposes.” She continued, “My aesthetic is pretty neutral, white and bright, but we still needed to make sure that I could shoot content in every corner of the house.”
Art director Zara Eisha, who is the mind behind the design of Alaya’s home, said to Architectural Digest, “She (Alaya F) wanted a functional, versatile home. So the challenge was to keep it fresh in each corner of the home while also making it cosy and homely at the same time.” She designated the Jawaani Jaaneman actor’s three-bedroom apartment into separate spaces designed for Alaya’s variety of works. Two of the three rooms are transformed into a yoga room and a glam-up room, respectively.
The yoga room features “all the hectic fun bendy flexible stuff happens,” a wall of mirrors and a corner shelf for mats and kettlebells. Additionally, a rod mounted on the wall in the same room serves as a stunning place for keeping her clothes and other essentials. On the other hand, her glam-up room exudes a boho chic vibe, featuring empanelled closets on two sides for ample storage and a large dressing table.
We can also spot a wall with all her trophies, a couple of frames with Alaya’s intricate pen drawings, hardcover memoirs of her grandparents and many other personal touches from the homeowner in her living room. Coming to her bedroom, the soothing colour accentuated by the cane hangings and other decorative pieces gave a relaxing vibe. On the other hand, the bowl of water by the kitchen door revealed how Alaya even kept in mind her furry friend, Mr. MJ while designing her space.
