What a game of rugby league. Didn’t that have it all!
The Eels have rebounded from their ordinary 50-12 loss last week to the Raiders by registering a sensational 38-22 win over the Tigers on Monday afternoon in front of a massive crowd at CommBank Stadium.

With two minutes to go, Josh Addo-Carr picked up a double by streaking away for the Eels’ seventh and final try of the afternoon.
Mitch Moses was absolutely brilliant in his comeback game, helping set up three tries. The Eels are a totally different team when he is in charge.
That’ll do the Eels’ confidence the world of good, considering they were down to 11 men for a period in the second half there. They looked like a top eight team today.
The Tigers? Just weren’t at their best. How would they be if Lachlan Galvin was in the side? That’s probably one for Benji Marshall in the post-match press conference.
Tough week coming for the Tigers in light of all the Galvin drama.
Eels defeat Tigers 38-22
The Tigers have a full set at the Eels but Adam Doueihi’s fifth tackle option – a little grubber – is poorly executed.
WOW. The Eels are in. Bailey Simonsson finishes off a magic try to almost certainly deliver the Eels an upset victory.
On tackle zero, Mitch Moses looks up and puts in a cross-field kick with 45 metres left to run to the Tigers’ line. No Tigers covering in back play.
Simonsson comes motoring down the right wing as the ball sits up perfectly for him to grab and take over the line.
Moses’ conversion from the sideline … is a beauty. It’s over. What a return he’s had.

Wow.
Tigers winger Luke Laulilii dives on a Luai grubber. It’s a try. All the momentum is with the boys in orange and black.
“How good is footy,” our reporter at the ground Christian Nicolussi says.

Heck of an intercept there from Josh Addo-Carr to save a certain try.
Turuva tried to pass to Bula, who looked certain to score. Addo-Carr went for the ball and managed to grab it. Awesome effort from the Eels winger.
Same goes for Mitch Moses down the right edge for Parramatta as he puts Luke Laulilii over the sideline. They’re hanging on are the Eels.

The decision to bin Isaiah Iongi is a huge call. Sure, he was the last line of defence, but a professional foul? Geez, that was harsh.
Sadly, the Tigers have lost all composure and do not look like scoring. They are panicking. They may also be feeling the pinch from having to defend the first ten minutes of the second half.
Josh Addo-Carr makes a blunder by not tapping a Jarome Luai grubber over the dead ball line.
Alex Seyfarth comes storming through for the Tigers and plants the ball down.
The conversion is over. The margin is just 10 points. Great game brewing.

Parramatta continue to play down the right end of the field.
That’s until Isaiah Iongi tackles Tigers centre Starford To’a without the ball as he looks to set off for a try.
Iongi is off to the bin as well. It’s 12 on 11. The Eels lads will be knackered. Big final 20 coming up here.

Former Wallabies coach Eddie Jones is sitting behind Jason Ryles in the Eels coaching box.
Jones was also there on Thursday night with Anthony Seibold during Manly’s 20-18 loss to the Dragons at home.
Ryles was a Wallabies assistant coach during the 2023 Rugby World Cup when the wheels fell off.
Jones has been here in Australia coaching Japan’s under-23s team. The Wallabies face Japan later this year in October.
Meanwhile, Sunia Turuva and Luca Moretti have been sent to the sin bin for a bit of argy-bargy. Not ideal but at least it’s one for one. Tension is rising as the Tigers search for a try to get them back in the game.

It’s all happening at CommBank Stadium. I dead set can’t keep up.
Isaiah Iongi has another try for the Eels after Josh Addo-Carr sprints down the left wing and throws the last pass. Their backline plays today have been magnificent.
It’s an absolute demolition job for the Eels here as the conversion misses. The Tigers look stunned.

Two tries in three minutes for the Eels. They are on fire!
Sam Tuivaiti has a crack from short range out of dummy half. Great strength (and brittle defence) sees the big front-rower get the Eels’ fourth try of the afternoon and his first in the NRL.
Interesting to see Jack Bird throw some Eels headgear away moments before missing a tackle. That’ll teach him.
