Each year on the first Monday of May, the Metropolitan Museum of Art hosts its annual haute couture fundraising event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. In 2024, Alia grabbed the attention of fashion lovers as she walked down the carpet donned in a head-to-toe Sabyasachi look. The ethereal pastel-toned saree with an exaggerated train, stones, beads, and the studded flower garden at the bottom of the saree justified aptly with the year’s theme, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.

International star Priyanka Chopra’s best Met Gala look has to be her 2018 Ralph Lauren gown. Keeping the theme Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination in mind, the actress wore a wine-colored velvet Ralph Lauren gown with a cape-like train and completed the look with a jewel-studded hood-like hairpiece.
