Indian Overseas Bank posted a net profit of Rs 1,051 crore for Q4FY25, a 30.07% Y-o-Y growth. Operating profit rose 33.50% Y-o-Y. Total business hit Rs 5,61,958 crore.
IOB announces its Q4FY25 results.
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) achieved a significant milestone by recording a net profit of Rs 1,051 crore for Q4FY25, up from Rs 808 crore in Q4FY24, marking a year-on-year (Y-o-Y) growth of 30.07%. On a quarter-on-quarter (Q-o-Q) basis, the increase was 20.25%. The operating profit for Q4FY25 rose to Rs 2,618 crore from Rs 1,961 crore in Q4FY24, reflecting a growth of 33.50% Y-o-Y and 15.53% Q-o-Q.
The Net Interest Income (NII) increased by 13.03% to Rs 3,123 crore for Q4FY25, up from Rs 2,763 crore in Q4FY24, and 11.98% Q-o-Q. The cost to income ratio improved to 44.35% in Q4FY25 from 62.58% in Q4FY24.

For the year ended March 31, 2025, the net profit increased by 25.56% to Rs 3,335 crore, compared to Rs 2,656 crore in the previous year. Operating profit grew by 28.44% to Rs 8,688 crore, up from Rs 6,764 crore.
The NII for the year rose by 10.79% to Rs 10,890 crore. The cost to income ratio improved to 47.14% from 56.32% a year earlier. Return on Assets (ROA) improved to 0.92%, and Return on Equity (ROE) stood at 16.28%.
As of March 31, 2025, IOB’s total business amounted to ₹5,61,958 crore, marking an 11.30% Y-o-Y growth. Total deposits increased by 9.11% to Rs 3,11,938 crore. Gross advances grew by 14.15% to Rs 2,50,019 crore. CASA deposits increased by 8.49% to Rs 1,36,161 crore, with a CASA ratio of 43.65%. The Credit to Deposit (CD) ratio stood at 80.15%.
IOB’s Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) ratio improved to 2.14% as of March 31, 2025, down from 3.10% a year earlier. The Net NPA ratio reduced to 0.37%, and the Provision Coverage Ratio improved to 97.30%.
As of March 31, 2025, IOB had a total of 16,967 touch points, including 3,335 branches, 3,497 ATMs, and 10,135 BC points. Out of these, 58% of branches were in rural and semi-urban areas. The bank opened 101 new branches during the year.
