Jye Amiss has toed the ball over the line for a goal and then lead hard after the centre bounce and pulled in a mark before booting another goal.

He now has four majors and the Lions are struggling to keep him under control.

Amiss only just got a toe to the ball before it went over the line.

After all that, Luke Jackson took a handball at full speed and booted a goal on the run.

A 50m penalty against the Lions has resulted in a goal to Patrick Voss with the “prancing pony” celebrating with vigour.

Voss has two goals and the Dockers lead is growing although young Lions Cody Curtin has booted a goal in response.

Meanwhile, the Dockers have confirmed Brennan Cox is done for the game.

Dockers defender Brennan Cox has his knee wrapped in ice although his coach just told a national TV audience that he hoped Cox would play on today.

Freo coach Justin Longmuir must have had his wires crossed as he told Kayo that he hoped Cox would keep playing as it was more of a pain issue than a structural one.

Within a minute, the Kayo cameras panned to the bench showing Cox with his knee wrapped in bags of ice.

If they have got the ice out, it is usually a sign a player won’t return but time will tell.

I missed this during the pregame but the cameras captured Fremantle’s Mason Cox showing his emotions during the Neale Daniher tribute – I have to admit I’ve felt similar this weekend seeing and reading so many touching tributes.

Cox spent much of his career at Collingwood playing in the annual Big Freeze game, so he would have a better appreciation than most for Daniher’s contribution.

The NRL’s Melbourne Storm have also announced they will honour Daniher tonight wearing black armbands in his honour during their clash with Sydney Roosters at AAMI Park.

The Dockers remain in control of this game, but the Lions bounced back into it late in the second term with some goals and better pressure play.

But they will need to lift if they want any chance of coming back to win this match.

“We are playing Fremantle footy, it’s contest to contest and not to sexy but we just keep going,” Jordan Clark told Kayo.

Brave play from Dockers key defender Brennan Cox who dived towards the ball and beat to Lions in the process.

But he also took an accidental knee to the side of the head but it appears his knee is getting checked.

He has jogged off but looks very ginger – it’s hard to know if he hurt himself or has a head knock but with under five minutes to go until half-time, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dockers assess him during the break.

He would be a big loss given the strength of the Lions forward line.

Amiss has kicked his second goal in a boost for the visitors.

Star full-forward Charlie Curnow kicked a season-best eight goals while Hayden McLean booted four as the Swans played themselves back into form with a 114-point demolition of Richmond at the SCG.

The Swans rested a number of bodies for the rare visit of the Tigers to Sydney, but the hosts were still far too strong in a commanding performance that went some way to restoring confidence after last week’s 27-point loss to Geelong. The pre-game AFL Record proved prophetic: “2nd v 17th and it’s at the SCG. This won’t be close”.

After struggling on the narrow oval in Geelong, Isaac Heeney and Chad Warner were delighted to return home to the sun and wide open spaces of the SCG. Both men had 32 disposals, with Heeney kicking five goals and Warner three.

The Swans finally rested ruckman Brodie Grundy, who had played all 11 games this season. In his absence, cult figure Peter Ladhams stepped up for his first appearance of the season.

Zac Bailey has goaled on the run and given the home crowd a boost.

With halftime fast approaching, the Lions need something to give them some juice.

“They need some goals, they need the music, they need Country Roads,” Dal Santo said on Kayo Sports.

Within two minutes of that comment, Charlie Cameron kicked a goal with a tight snap.

The Lions are fighting back.

Fremantle’s lead has grown with Jye Amiss snapping a goal from the left pocket and Sam Switkowski has booted a goal after it.

The Dockers dominance isn’t completely reflected in the scoreboard but the Lions are making such a limited impact in attack that it isn’t hurting them yet.

“Four goals, six behinds doesn’t do justice to how much they have dominated this game,” Nick Dal Santo said on Kayo Sports.

“I think they’ve got the Lions exactly where they want them,” Adam Simpson said on Kayo.
