Comedian Pranit More, who was also seen on Bigg Boss 19, has come under fire after a video from one of his stand-up shows went viral on social media on Sunday. The clip showed him reacting to an audience member’s account of a date, and his response has triggered criticism from viewers online.
Content creator Uorfi Javed also shared the clip on her Instagram Stories and called it “disgusting”. Though the video has since been deleted from Pranit’s side, several social media users have continued to question his silence over what they described as a deeply problematic exchange.

What the viral clip showed
In the video, an audience member recalled going out with a woman to a market. He said she asked what he would feed her, and the two then ate chicken biryani that cost around Rs 360-370. He went on to say that when she later asked him to drop her home, he replied that he had spent Rs 370 and would “recover” it.
Pranit laughed at the statement and responded, “Peak Gurgaon content.” That remark became the centre of the criticism after the clip began circulating widely online.
Social media reaction to the video
One Instagram user wrote, “This is not peak Gurgaon content, this is peak rapist content.”
On X, a user said Pranit had “fooled” people on Bigg Boss by presenting himself as a gentleman, and added that “behind the facade he’s just another cheapster who normalises rape jokes” while reducing women to “objects with a price tag”.
Another user wrote, “Parents, please teach your daughters to never accept even a Rs 10 treat from a man. You never know which one will decide that a cheap meal gives him the right to cross physical boundaries and ignore a clear NO just to recover his costs (sic).”
“This kind of comedy is the absolute worst form of entertainment. Packaging predatory entitlement as crowd work and laughing at sexual harassment is sickening. A meal is not a contract. A treat is not consent. Stop normalising this. A Rs 370 biryani is not a lease agreement for a woman’s body (sic),” the post further read.

A third user wrote that deleting the video did not make Pranit “a better person”.

More about Pranit More
Pranit had built a wider television audience through Bigg Boss 19, where he emerged as one of the stronger contestants and finished third. In interviews after the show, he had said he wanted viewers to see more sides of his personality beyond stand-up clips.
He had also said he would be “more sensible” and would give some jokes a second thought if they offended people, while insisting that stand-up should aim to entertain.
