Interim Carlton coach Josh Fraser says he still won’t consider taking the head coach role beyond this season.
The Blues have turned a massive corner, winning their last three including their latest triumph over premiership contenders Geelong last Friday.
Fraser immediately ruled himself out of the search for a head coach at his first press conference as coach and, despite the current form, said his position had not changed.
“I do respect the question but no, I haven’t changed my mind,” Fraser said.
He was also coy on the idea of looking too far ahead with where the club is at.
“I’m personally really big on not looking too far ahead. I think where we’re at as a club it has to be about how we stack training sessions on top of each other, what our habits look like, and that’s going to be really important heading into this week,” he said.

“We literally take that week-by-week approach given where we’ve been and where we’re at, we can’t afford to look too far ahead.”
The interim coach was also asked about his use of AI, and he joked he had to upgrade his ChatGPT account.
“I’m learning about the impact AI can have,” he said.
“I’ve actually really enjoyed it … there’s a place for it for sure.”
