Shakira has insisted she has no intention of finding herself a new man.
The 49-year-old singer is believed to have been single since splitting from footballer Gerard Pique – the father of her two sons Milan, 13, and Sasha, 11, back in 2022.
But in a new interview with People, the She Wolf star said romance is the last thing on her mind.
She said: “I’m just thinking of raising my kids. I don’t see that for now.”
However, she’s not ruling it out in the future, adding: “Maybe when they’re older.”
Shakira also spoke about how she’s managed to channel her heartbreak into her music to help herself through the ordeal.
She teamed up with music producer Bizarrap on 2023 single Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, with the dance track inspired by her split from Gerard and referencing the rumours about how his alleged affair ended their 12-year relationship.
Shakira said: “It was just pure catharsis. I really needed to write about what I was going through and not have any censor.
“That song was just so good. And I remember us in the studio just dancing to it and jumping and celebrating because we knew the hit that we had in our hands.
“What I didn’t know is that when we released it, that same day was going to go to No. 1 on Spotify!
“It was very therapeutic. I needed it. After that song came out and I wrote that song, I was like, ‘I feel lighter.’
“And I feel like a lot of people, a lot of women who have been going through something similar, they were telling me how important that was for them.”
Shakira is gearing up to launch the final US leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour on 13th June, with the tour becoming the highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time – bringing in $421.6 million… and counting.
She said: “It’s been the best tour of my entire life. It’s just one of the craziest experiences of my career. And there’s just so much exciting stuff going on right now around this tour.
“This tour has just given me amazing moments on stage of just communion between my fans and me, that dialogue that doesn’t stop between them and me.
“My fans have been there for me through thick and thin. They’ve been family to me; that keeps me going.”
