Ben King was forced to kick for goals from a tight angle again and, just like the first shot, he nailed it once again.

The Suns have kicked the last three goals and all three came from elite level kicks.

The Suns are right in this, time for the Lions for fire up again.

Lachie Neale has amassed 15 disposals as the Lions have controlled this match in the opening term.

They kicked the first four goals of the match before Ben King kicked a settler for the Suns before Mac Andrew roosted a 60m kick just before the break.

This match is very well-placed now the Suns are back up and going.

Ben King is a class full forward and he showed this by marking on the left boundary line and nailing a kick for goal despite the tight angle.

That should settle the Suns, let’s see what they do from here.

Lions 25, Suns 7 with eight mins to go in Q1.

The Suns defence are huddling together and looking for answers after the Lions forced them into a turnover deep in defence and Morris snapped his second goal.

The Lions are fired up and are pressuring like their season depends on it.

Can the Suns step up?

Charlie Cameron and Logan Morris have booted goals as the Lions kick the first three majors of this match and put a cone of silence over the Suns fans.

The stadium may be sold out but it is very quiet after this opening.

Fremantle star Patrick Voss spoke to Kayo Sports post-game.

On setting a club record for winning margin:
“I didn’t know that. That is our closest performance to a 120-minute display and I’m really proud of the boys.

“It’s a bit of a different week coming to Bunbury but the atmosphere out here was unbelievable.

“It was a great outing, I think I saw the crowd was 13,000 people and I hope we get to come down here again.”

Fremantle are the class team in the AFL right now while North Melbourne and their decision to sell home games to Bunbury and Perth should be thrown under the brightest of spotlights after the Dockers thrashed the Roos today.

The Roos kicked their last goal via George Wardlaw early in the second term as the Dockers piled on 19 consecutive goals to record their biggest ever winning margin, 124 points.

Star ruckman Luke Jackson and a countless list of teammates shared the ball around and carved up North’s defence on a ground that was longer and wider than their usual home ground of Marvel Stadium. If a resurgent West Coast also knock off the Roos at Optus Stadium next week, this trip will have been a nightmare one for Alastair Clarkson and his men.

North will no doubt get millions of dollars to sell these games to WA, but what will the cost be to the belief of their players and to the club’s hopes of making the top 10? Would a finals berth be worth more than that? Surely it would, but on today’s performance it looks a long way away.

Dockers star Patrick Voss snapped the last goal of the match, capping off a strong display. The Dockers are the most serious of premiership contenders as they head for a bye next week. The Roos are a long, long way from that – about the distance between Bunbury and Melbourne.
