The funeral for a slain Sydney gangster has been rocked by a hail of bullets coming from an SUV.
A service for Lorenzo Lemalu, 24, was held at Diamond Venues in Punchbowl on Saturday afternoon after he was gunned down in Vietnam on May 21.
Lemalu was believed to be a senior figure in Sydney’s underworld crime crew the Coconut Cartel.
According to NSW Police, shots were fired into the venue about 2.20pm from an unknown SUV before the vehicle fled the scene.
Police say no injuries were reported and the vehicle is believed to have been found engulfed in flames a short time later.
Video of the shooting was shared online by crime news outlet SCN WorldStar, capturing more than two dozen shots being fired at the second level of the building.
“Yeah, yeah this window right here cuz,” a male voice can be heard saying before a gloved and hooded passenger in the rear of the vehicle opens fire.
“Keep going cuz, keep going.
“Aye done? Aye lets f–king go lad.”

Lemalu was shot outside a seafood restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City two weeks ago.
Two Samoan nationals have been charged in connection with his death in the Southeast Asian country, with police alleging they were acting “under the direction of an individual abroad”.
Lemalu’s funeral and burial are set for Sunday.
