US President Donald Trump on Monday called on Israel and Iran to immediately stop “shooting” as tensions between the two countries remained high.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that “Israel and Iran must immediately stop ‘shooting’.”
His remarks came amid continued military exchanges between the two sides. Earlier, Israel said it struck a petrochemical plant in southwest Iran and carried out additional attacks on military targets elsewhere in the country.

The reported strikes took place after Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from launching further attacks.
