A high-level committee was established in Hyderabad in order to facilitate easy sourcing operations starting with the future Kharif 2026 crop season, avoiding any unforeseen delays for farmers.
The standard committee’s people include the Director of Agriculture, the Managing Director of Civil Products, and the Secretary of the Planning Department. The main minister to crops will be in charge of its operation.
On Tuesday, June 16, Revanth Reddy conducted a top-level assessment of the Kharif 2026 produce time at the MCRHRD Bodhi Pavilion.
He mandated that the leaders create a comprehensive action plan and put it into action when it comes to the purchase of grown plants and the supply of seedlings to farmers.
The Agriculture Department needs to adopt a clear system, keep track of crop booking, crop yield estimation, and rice procurement, according to the chief minister.
The council would keep track of the last purchasing procedure, produce spreading, producer registration, crop data collection, offer estimation, and seed distribution. It may make it easier for farmers to adopt the cutting-edge systems. Through thorough field-level verification, officials may accurately archive crop cultivation for each acre.
Officials will take the necessary steps to make sure procurement adheres to Minimum Support Prices ( MSP) and limits established by the Centre.
Additionally, CM Revanth requested an innovative action plan that addresses the procurement period’s snowfall rains, weighing, transportation, storage, and advertising.
He made it clear that seven distinct varieties of excellent rice seeds would be provided. He argued that “farmers may receive seed at a sponsored rate,” adding that Rythu Vedikas are always available.
The Chief Minister directed leaders to update information on the order of seeds and fertilizers at Rythu Vedikas locations so that each producer has a hassle-free membership.
The use of technology as a nodal agency for Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University ( PJTGSAU) as its nodal agency was also discussed.
