Radio queen Jackie O Henderson is set to proceed with her Federal Court claim against former employer ARN just days after co-host Kyle Sandilands settled with the network.
The controversial broadcaster will continue her claim against ARN after she left the show back in February, sparking a termination of her multimillion-dollar contract following an on-air blow up with her co-host of 20 years, Sandilands.
Sandilands will receive $12.09m in the next three years, it was revealed in an announcement posted to the ASX on Wednesday morning after the parties settled out of court on Tuesday.
Sensationally, the statement also revealed ARN and Sandilands would enter a revenue sharing agreement in which the company will provide him with $1.5m worth of advertising for three years.
ARN will also benefit from a tidy 19.9 per cent of the earnings from Sandilands’ new venture for the same three-year period, subject to agreed revenue thresholds and caps.
However, when Henderson’s matter was mentioned for the first time in Federal Court since Sandilands’ settlement on Thursday, her lawyers said they would still be pursuing the claim.
Henderson will next appear in court in August for a hearing before the trial kicks off in September.
