A man has been shot dead in Melbourne’s inner northwest.
The man, believed to be in his 30s, was found with gunshot wounds on North St, Ascot Vale at about 12.15am on Sunday.
He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but later died.
“Police are yet to establish where or how the man obtained his injuries,” a Victoria Police spokesman said.
Footage from the scene shows a white Audi with large amounts of what appears to be blood caked on the bonnet.
A significant police presence remains on the street.
Investigators are urging anybody with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
