MAFS star Jules Robinson has come under fire online after revealing that she employed a ‘gender expert’ to ensure her third child was a girl.

The TV star already has two sons, five-year-old Ollie and one-year-old Carter, with husband Cameron Merchant who she met on the show.

But in a recent interview, she opened up about dreaming of having a baby girl and admitted to enlisting a “gender swaying” practitioner in the hopes of fulfilling the dream.

The 44-year-old says that she’s a ‘huge believer’ in the power of intention and mindset.

“I think it’s quite a positive thing to do to look at if you are visual and when you manifest,” she said.

Gender swaying experts use a science-based approach that includes studying biochemistry and hormones in order to build preconception plans to produce a baby of a couple’s desired sex.

Robinson continued: “If the information’s there, why not be open to receiving it — which is what I’ve been doing.”

The decision has not been taken well online, with some people insisting that parents shouldn’t try and choose the gender of their girl.

Responding to the backlash, the mum-of-two insisted that she would be happy with another boy but didn’t see the harm in stacking her odds with openly available therapies.

“If I hold that child and it’s a little boy, oh my god, I’m going to love him more than anything; of course, I will,” she said.

“I’m just saying that if there’s any power that Cam and I have, naturally, to sway the baby to be a girl, then we’re going to try that.

“I meet with her every single month and then on the 10th day of my cycle, I go and have a blood test done, which reads my hormone levels.

“Then you try to conceive before ovulation because female sperm live a lot longer than male. So the idea is that the female sperm will still be there and you conceive.”

The TV star and Cameron, 42, met on season six of MAFS in 2019.

They married for real later that year and went on to welcome their first son in 2020, and their second in 2024.

Since meeting on the show, they have shared their hopes for having a baby girl.

Robinson said: “Cam and I have had our little girl name ever since we were in the Married At First Sight experiment together. I know Cam would absolutely love a daughter.”

Responding to the decision online, the couple has received a mixed reaction.

One person wrote: “You get what your granted. Be grateful, some people have none.”

Another said: “Good for her. I would do the same if I had two boys already.”
