Perth dancer Faith Ward, who is living her dream life as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, is making a name for herself after multiple appearances on live TV in America, following a starring role in a hit Netflix series.
Season three of the popular show America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders was released last week, and some of the veterans and rookies on the famous team have embarked on a press tour across New York City.
The first stop was an appearance on the Today show, where eight cheerleaders, including Ward, gave two performances and discussed the latest season alongside team director Kelli Finglass.
“What an incredible morning! I can’t stop smiling,” Wellington-born Ward said on Instagram.
The team continued their promo with a visit to the Netflix studios and InStyle Magazine.
Ward and her teammates finished up with an exciting appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, an American TV opportunity for which Ward had “no words”.
The segment began with Fallon talking about his love for the Netflix show — which came out in 2024 — and how good it would be if they were in town to feature on the show.
“It’s impossible,” he said.
Three cheerleaders — Kleine Powell, Charly Barby and Parker Kilpatrick — were among the unsuspecting live crowd wearing disguises when Powell jumped up to say,”What if it isn’t impossible, Jimmy?”
“Wait, what are you talking about?” Fallon replied.
Barby chimed in: “This is The Tonight Show, right?”
“Yeah.”
“I think what they’re trying to say is at The Tonight Show, nothing is impossible,” Kilpatrick adds before all three rip off their clothes to reveal their iconic cheer uniforms underneath.
The trio then join the rest of the team onstage to dance to Move Shake Drop by DJ Laz, Pitbull and FloRida.
Ward, much like the rest of her teammates, was in awe at appearing on national and international late-night TV.
“Will never recover ahhh,” she said on Instagram.
Ward’s fans also rallied around her.
“You’re the cutest, loved you on the show and hope to see you back,” one fan said.
Another said: “Who would have thought Faith…look at our little Aussie/NZ girl and the opportunities she is experiencing. Well done Faith.”
The Netflix show goes behind the scenes of recruiting the 2025 squad from the thousands of auditions from women all over the globe to the brutal training camp when the final squad members are chosen.
As the first New Zealander to make the famous team and the third Australian, Ward features heavily throughout the third season consisting of seven episodes.
Ward became a favourite after she defied the team’s tradition of wearing their hair down by styling her blonde locks in a high ponytail after being asked by Finglass.
