A motorbike has collided with a car in a horrific hit and run accident that has left police searching for the rider after they fled the scene on foot.
At about 12.15pm on July 1, reports emerged that a driver of a black Suzuki GSX-R-750 motorbike was involved in a collision with a silver Toyota Corolla at the intersection of Lomandra Drive and Graham Road in Morayfield.
Video footage shows the moment the rider of the motorbike collided with a vehicle, leaving debris scattered along the road after the crash.
Bystanders reported that the driver of the bike, who is yet to be identified, was thrown 100 meters from their bike and sustained injuries to their foot, according to a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman.
The motorcyclists then fled the scene on foot before police arrived.

Emergency services assessed the driver of the car, a 38-year-old woman at the scene.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the woman had no obvious signs of injury but was taken to Caboolture Hospital.

Police said investigations remain ongoing and are urging anyone with dashcam footage of the driver prior to the crash to come forward and assist their investigation.
“Concerns are held for the wellbeing of the rider due to the severity of the crash,” the police appeal said.
