Perth-raised Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Faith Ward was surprised by young fans while back in Perth visiting family and enjoying downtime following a busy NFL schedule and New York press tour.
Ward was visibly shocked on Saturday afternoon when she discovered a group of young girls were waiting outside her luxury accommodation hoping to catch a glimpse of the homegrown reality TV star.
Wearing a white sports style jacket adorned with the iconic navy blue DCC star, flared black legging and a Christian Dior saddle bag, Ward signed cowboy hats and t-shirts for the girls at the valet of the Crown Towers.
She also happily posed for a photo with the young fans who gifted her a bouquet of flowers.
Ward, 23, stars on the third season of Netflix documentary series America’s Sweethearts which follows the journeys of ambitious dancers vying for a blue and white uniform as part of the iconic cheerleading squad.
Speaking to Bunbury-raised Sunrise presenter Nat Barr on Friday, she expressed her joy in re-connecting with loved ones.
“Oh my goodness, I’m so happy to be home for a little bit; spending time with friends and family is just the perfect way to reset and just, you know, embrace the Aussie culture again. I’m so happy to be home,” she said.
Ward said she was still waiting to “wake up from this crazy dream”, and believes hard work will hold her in good stead ahead of her return to the US for DCC training camp.
