Two teenagers have been winched to safety after getting lost during a camping trip at a national park in Queensland’s Southern Downs.
Two boys, both aged 17, were on a planned overnight bushwalk and camping trip through Main Range National Park in Killarney, about 85km southwest of Brisbane.
The alarm was raised when they failed to return home on Wednesday.
A major search was sparked on Thursday involving police, State Emergency Service personnel and a rescue helicopter.

The two boys were found in the thick shrubbery shortly after 7.10am on Saturday and winched to safety.
“Both boys were assessed by emergency services and cleared,” a police statement read.
