Kelly Osbourne has revealed mum Sharon “laugh[ed] so much” on her wedding anniversary, after attending a “clown party”.
The youngest daughter of the late Ozzy Osbourne had earlier shared an emotional letter to her mum on what was Sharon’s first anniversary without her husband, but returned to Instagram to reveal that spirits were raised by a themed bash on Saturday night (04.07.26).
Sharing a picture of herself and Sharon smiling while looking lovingly at each other, Kelly praised Evening Standard boss Evgeny Lebedev for “throwing such an incredible summer clown themed party”.
She continued: “First of all I love a good themed event but secondly it was so amazing to be around such special friends that made my mum laugh so much.
“It was the perfect night and made what could have been such a hard day for my mum one we will both never forget.
“I don’t think we have laughed like that in quite some time. Forever grateful!”
The comments section was almost immediately filled with remarks from fans, with one writing that Kelly looked “absolutely stunning”.
They added: “Amazing photos of you and and your mumma Kelly!”
Another wrote: “Looks like a fun time!! You guys both look so happy. Laughter is good for the soul.”
While a third commented: “What a wonderful distraction for your Mom @sharonosbourne to make that day so very special, instead of it being a grieving sad day.
“Love you both and Ozzy forever.”
Kelly and Sharon were among those left devastated when heavy metal icon Ozzy died in July last year aged 76 following a battle with a string of illnesses and heath problems including a battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Earlier on the anniversary, Kelly had taken to social media to describe her dad’s love story with Sharon as one “even heaven could never end”.
Kelly visited her father’s grave, where he is buried beside a lake on the family’s Buckinghamshire estate, leaving a large bouquet of flowers before sharing a lengthy tribute to Sharon on Instagram on Saturday (04.07.26) to mark what would have been her parents’ 44th wedding anniversary after they got hitched on July 4, 1982.
She wrote in a length letter posted on Instagram: “My Dearest Mummy, today feels different. A day that was once filled with celebration now carries a quiet ache.
“This is your first wedding anniversary without Daddy by your side, and I can only imagine how heavy your heart must feel. There are some dates that remind us just how deeply we have loved and today is one of them.”
Kelly continued: “I hope you know that love like yours doesn’t end when a life does. It changes shape. It becomes the warmth of the sun on your face when you need comfort, the memories that make you smile through tears, the quiet moments when you somehow know he’s near. Daddy may no longer walk beside you, but he will never stop walking with you.”
She concluded: “Happy Anniversary to a love story that even heaven could never end.” Sharon and Ozzy married in Maui, Hawaii.
Ozzy, whose career helped define heavy metal before he later reached a new audience through MTV reality series The Osbournes, died two weeks after performing a farewell concert with his band Black Sabbath in his hometown of Birmingham.
