Zendaya embodied the goddess Athena, whom she plays in Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated new film, The Odyssey, at its world premiere in London.
The 29-year-old actress turned heads in a dramatic Schiaparelli gown consisting of a white corset sculpted in the form of the female body and a fringed skirt made of cascading white and clear beads that were illuminated from within.
The striking ensemble had actually featured on the runway at Place Vendôme in Paris on the morning of the premiere, with Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach making dreams happen by getting the gown on a plane to London after the fashion show.
Roach revealed the behind-the-scenes scramble while speaking to French creator Elias Medini, also known as Lyas, at the Schiaparelli show during Paris Haute Couture Week.
Lyas uploaded a video to Instagram showing Roach and then turned to point at a model wearing the dress, saying, “You chose this look for a premiere tonight.”
“Yes, I flew in last night to come to the show; I have a private jet waiting for me,” Roach said with a laugh.
Zendaya finished the look with a sparkling five-strand diamond necklace that coordinated with her wedding rings from husband Tom Holland, who stars in the Greek epic as Telemachus.
Her eyes popped thanks to snowy, sparkly eyeshadow with her braided hairstyle adding to the warrior aesthetic.

Shortly after her red carpet appearance, Zendaya channelled a different Grecian aesthetic in a gauzy Valentino gown with leaf appliqués, rib cutouts and a pleated skirt.
The Odyssey’s stellar cast also includes Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron and Anne Hathaway who cradled the blossoming bump of her third child wearing a flowy sky-blue dress.
The Odyssey will hit theatres in Australia on July 16.
