A jury has reportedly granted parole to five people in the alleged sexual abuse and forced change case involving the Nashik division of IT-major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), noting that the chargesheet has been filed and that the analysis is essentially finished.
On July 30th, More Sessions Judge Amit Vinayak Kharkar granted the appeals of Tausif Bilal Attar, Asif Aftab Ansari, Shahrukh Hussain Shaukat Qureshi, Shafi Bhikan Shaikh, and Raza Rafiq Memon. In connection with numerous first information reports ( FIRs ) registered at Mumbai Naka police station in Nashik, they were given bail.
Additionally, the judge stated that if the accused were to be released, they would not be feared as much.
Bail was opposed by the prosecutors.
The accused and the target both claimed to have worked for TCS in Nashik.
Raza Rafiq Memon allegedly insulted the victim improperly, touched her badly, demanded sexual favors, and belittled her faith while promoting his own. According to the statement, the other accused reportedly supported his steps.
The accused allegedly abused the victim’s bad financial situation, forcing her to endure a dangerous work environment, by opposing the bail.
But, Rahul Kasliwal, the defense’s attorney, asserted that the reported remarks were “light hearted conversation” in the office, despite the fact that they were taken literally.
After hearing both sides ‘ arguments, the judge acknowledged that the accused had been a prisoner for more than three months.
The charge sheet has been filed,”. Nearly all of the investigation is over. There is no significant concern that the accused, if released on bail, may threaten the prosecution’s witnesses or interfere with the evidence, the prosecutor said.
There were a number of restrictions placed.
While allowing their requests, the judge imposed a number of restrictions, including making appointments to the police station on Saturday between 11 am and 4 pm until the test is over.
It is forbidden to contact the accomplice, the witnesses, or anyone connected to the case, and they are prohibited from entering the informant’s workplace and personal area.
A total of nine cases registered with the Special Investigation Team ( SIT ) are being looked into by the TCS unit in connection with the alleged exploitation, attempted forced conversion, hurting religious sentiments, molestation, and mental harassment of female employees.
TCS has stated that it has a zero tolerance policy for any kind of abuse, and that the Nashik office employees who are alleged to have engaged in sexual harassment have been suspended.
