Carmen Electra regrets her marriage to Dennis Rodman.
The 54-year-old actress was married to the NBA icon for a year in the late 90s, and Carmen has now admitted that it wasn’t “the best choice” she’s ever made.
Speaking to Us Weekly, the actress explained: “I could definitely say marrying Dennis Rodman could have been, like, not the best choice.
“I mean, it was just difficult because he had people working for him that at that time were really weird, and they assumed that everyone was out for his money. And I had my own money. I wasn’t out for Dennis Rodman’s money.”
Carmen suggested that she simply wasn’t ready for married life at that point in time.
The actress – who became a sex symbol in the 90s – said: “By that time, I had been working with MTV, Baywatch. … I was working a lot. I was living in a really nice condo in Beverly Hills at the time that I paid for. Independent queen.
“I believe in that. I think that honestly, like, you’ve got to look at life that way.”
Carmen previously opened up about her whirlwind romance with Dennis, revealing that they once made love on a basketball court.
The actress – who married the sports star in Las Vegas in 1998 – admitted that they were like “two kids in a candy store” at one point in time.
Carmen – whose marriage to the basketball player ended in 1999 – told the Los Angeles Times newspaper: “One day when the Bulls had an off day from practising, Dennis said he had a surprise for me.
“He blindfolds me and we get on his motorcycle. When he finally takes my blindfold off, we’re standing at the Bulls practice facility, centre court.
“It was crazy, like two kids in a candy store. We were eating Popsicles from the fridge and pretty much having sex all over the damn place – in the physical therapy room, in the weight room. Obviously on the court.”
Carmen – who previously played Lani McKenzie in Baywatch – jokingly added: “To be honest, I don’t think he’s ever worked out so hard in his life.”
