Turns out your postcode could say more about your sex life than you might think, with fresh data revealing WA’s sexiest suburbs.
Australia’s annual Sex Map has lifted the covers on the cheeky antics that Aussies are getting up to behind closed doors.
Erotic retailer LoveHoney analysed twelve months’ worth of sales data to reveal exactly where the kinkiest Australians reside, as well as what the most sought-after intimate products are in each suburb.
Three WA suburbs have been crowned among the ten sexiest locations in the nation — and according to the data, it seems regional Sandgropers are far more likely to get down and dirty than city dwellers.
Spencer Park in the State’s south has officially been named the sexiest place in Western Australia for 2026.
The Albany suburb, which was also declared the fourth kinkiest suburb in Australia, proved they weren’t shy when it comes to bedroom enhancement.
Residents in the area preferred having a little help before a big finish, with the suburb purchasing the most orgasm boosters in the nation.
Further north in WA’s Mid West, Wandina residents won the State’s silver medal for their under-the-doona antics.
Wandina residents were the most likely to get crafty in the bedroom — with the suburb reportedly buying more penis-moulding kits than any other place in Australia.
It marks the second time in a row that WA residents have won the DIY title, after Karratha won the accolade in 2025.
Kalgoorlie closed out the WA representation on the national list, with the Goldfields city most famous for its gaping hole being declared the sixth sexiest place in Australia.
The mining hub may have locals raking in strong incomes, but the data revealed that Kalgoorlie residents are still feeling the pinch (albeit, in a different way).
The Sex Map revealed that more nipple clamps had been bought in the Goldfields city than anywhere else in Australia.
On the WA-specific ranking, only three Perth suburbs secured a spot — with two situated in Perth’s south, and one in the east.
In Perth’s south, Bertram residents were officially the freakiest across the WA capital.
The suburb, located in the City of Kwinana, was found to enjoy a wide range of different bedroom tools.
They weren’t the only Perth locals seeking some additional excitement in the sheets, however.
Swan View and Success also rounded out the State’s horniest suburbs.
The Sex Map provides far more insight than just geographic, however.
The new data has also shone a light on exactly how Australians in WA and other states get down and dirty.
West Australians were declared some of the most slippery lovers in the nation, with the most purchased products across the State including lubricants and toy cleaners.
A jaw-dropping 795.2 litres of lube were purchased across WA within the last twelve months — enough to fill almost eight bathtubs.
There was one eastern states locale that took home the massive title of Australia’s Sexiest Suburb.
Ripley in Queensland was crowned as the supreme suburb for naughty activities, with the area taking home a range of dongs (I mean . . . gongs) for their bedroom antics.
The Ipswich suburb, which is home to only 4,000 residents, was the clear winner across eight different categories.
Queenslanders in the suburb out-purchased the nation on everything from anal sex toys to bondage to even French maid costumes.
Although everything is typically bigger in WA, the state narrowly missed out on the Size Queen crown — with Queensland’s average dildo size besting the west by a mere 0.01 inch.
While Western Australia made up 30 per cent of the national list, we were far from winning the title of Sexiest State.
It seems the ACT is just as committed to pleasure as it is to politics, with the enclave nabbing the crown for the dirty antics of their residents.
Following behind the nation’s capital was Tasmania and Queensland, with Western Australia barely missing the podium as Australia’s fourth sexiest state.
It’s a slip for WA, who were named as the third horniest state just one year ago.
Port Hedland, Mundijong, and Karratha were also crowned the three sexiest WA suburbs in 2025, however none of the trio appeared in this year’s top list.
The Pilbara iron hub took the hardest tumble on this year’s rating — with Port Hedland dropping from the third sexiest town in the nation to the 205th in just twelve months.
