Apple is widely rumoured to enter the foldable smartphone market this year, but before the company has officially said anything, luxury customisation brand Caviar appears to have jumped the gun. The company has published what it calls an “exclusive insider” look at Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which it refers to as the iPhone 18 Ultra, complete with detailed renders, specifications and even a pre-order page.

The listing claims Apple’s first foldable iPhone will be unveiled on September 9, although the company itself has not confirmed either the product or the launch date. Caviar is already accepting deposits for customised versions of the device, promising buyers priority delivery, limited-edition serial numbers and luxury accessories.

Caviar offers clearest look yet at Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone

A screenshot from the 9-second video published by the Caviar website, claiming to give exclusive look at the iPhone Ultra phone.

The images shared on Caviar’s website offer perhaps the clearest look yet at what Apple’s foldable phone could resemble if the renders are anywhere close to the final product. One image shows an exceptionally slim phone viewed from the side. Even in its folded state, the device appears noticeably thinner than most existing foldables. A large camera module sits at the top, while the overall frame has the flat edges seen on recent iPhones.

Another render reveals the phone partially folded. The rear panel combines black textured leather case with an ornate gold frame surrounding both the camera area and the back panel. A gold Apple logo sits in the centre, giving the device a luxury watch-inspired look. The cover display appears narrow and tall, similar to the outer screens found on book-style foldable smartphones. The Caviar branding is also visible on the display shown alongside the phone.

A third promotional image showcases three different luxury finishes. One model features a burgundy leather back with gold accents, another combines black leather with dark metallic trim, while the third uses a marbled black finish framed by gold detailing. All three retain the same vertically aligned dual-camera setup and rectangular cover display. Beyond the premium finishes, Caviar’s page also claims to reveal key hardware details of Apple’s foldable flagship.

Big display, slim design and a massive battery claimed

According to the listing, the iPhone Ultra will feature a 5.3-inch outer display for quick interactions and a 7.8-inch foldable inner LTPO OLED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate. The company claims Apple will use an advanced hinge made from liquid metal paired with flexible glass to minimise the crease when the phone is unfolded.

The device is also said to feature a titanium body measuring just 4.5mm when unfolded and roughly 9mm when folded, making it one of the slimmest foldable smartphones if these claims prove accurate.

Another screenshot from the short video released by Caviar, claiming it to be the design of the upcoming iPhone 18 Ultra smartphone.

On the performance front, Caviar says the phone will run Apple’s upcoming A20 Pro chip paired with 12GB RAM, allowing for more advanced Apple Intelligence features and multitasking similar to an iPad.

Camera details are equally ambitious. The listing mentions a dual 48-megapixel rear camera system capable of capturing spatial photos and videos. It also claims the 24-megapixel selfie camera will be hidden beneath the display, allowing for an uninterrupted folding screen without a visible punch-hole or notch.

Battery life is another area where Caviar makes bold claims. The company says Apple has managed to fit a 5,800mAh battery inside the ultra-thin body, describing it as the longest-lasting battery ever in an iPhone.

Of course, none of these specifications have been confirmed by Apple. Caviar has built a reputation for creating ultra-premium customised smartphones, often based on existing flagship devices, and the information on its website should be treated as speculation rather than confirmation. Still, the detailed renders and extensive product page have added fresh fuel to rumours that Apple’s long-awaited foldable iPhone could finally debut this September.
