A kids throat lozenge has been recalled after fears were raised about metal pieces being discovered in the product.

Key-Sun Kids Honey & Eucalyptus and acerola lozenges are throat lollies available to customers through pharmacies and chemists across NSW, ACT, Qld, Victoria, Tasmania, SA and WA. The product has also been available for sale online in NSW.

It is typically used to soothe sore throats but earlier this month it was feared they could contain metal.

Customers are being alerted to batch 0072 with the use by date June 2028.

Food products containing metal may cause injury or harm.

Customers should return the product and individuals with medical concerns are being urged to seek medical advice.
