Hyderabad: According to the Sadar Majlis Ulama-e-Deccan’s Central Moon Sighting Committee, the cross of Rabi la Mavens 1448 AH/2026 was not visible on Thursday, August 13.
Under the direction of Mian Hasan Ibrahim Hussaini Quadri Sajjad Pasha, the council held its quarterly moon-sighting meeting at the Hussaini Building in Mozam Jahi Market.
According to the committee, Hyderabad’s clouds remained overcast. Despite the fact that some locations had clear skies in some places, reports from different locations, including Adilabad, Kapra, and Nanded, did not confirm the crescent sight.
According to the reports received, the committee made the announcement that Safar al-Muzaffar may be observed on August 14 as Safar al-Muzaffar’s 30th day. So, Rabi la Awwal 1448 AH will start on August 15th.
Mufti Zaleel Ahmed, Syed Mahmood Badshah Qadri, Mufti Sagheer Ahmed Naqshbandi, Mian Zahiruddin Ali Sufi Qadri, Haji Shamsuddin Ahmed Qadri Shatari Kamal Pasha, and other members of the moon-sighting commission also attended the meeting.
The commission also announced that Eid Milad-un-Nabi, which is observed on August 26 and corresponds to Rabi ful Awwal 1248 AH, may be observed.
