Elizabeth Olsen has given birth to her first child.
The WandaVision actress was revealed to be pregnant in June and on Saturday (15.08.26), the 37-year-old star was seen out walking with husband Robbie Arnett in Los Angeles and had a baby in a white carrier strapped to her chest.
Elizabeth, who was wearing white, wore a wide-brimmed hat during the outing, while the tot was also kept shaded from the sun as she walked holding a second, green, piece of oversized headwear over the carrier.
Last weekend, it seemed likely the Godzilla star had given birth because she was seen out and about in Southern California in a yellow top and striped trousers, with no obvious baby bump any more.
It is unsurprising she hasn’t offered an update on her family situation because Elizabeth and Robbie, 34, are notoriously very private and didn’t confirm they were expecting a baby, instead letting pictures of the actress’ chaging shape do the talking.
The Martha Marcy May Marlene actress had previously pondered when would be the right time to have a baby.
Speaking to SiriusXM in 2021, she said: “At what point do I get pregnant? At what point do I have my first baby?
“Is that five years from now? Because then I only have this kind of a window.”
She also noted the same year that she had spoken to Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige to ask when she should “think about conceiving a child.”
She told OK! magazine he had given “the best answer any boss could say,” telling her, “You live your life and we’ll work around you.”
Elizabeth and Robbie met in Mexico in 2017 and quietly married at some point before the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020.
In July 2019, People reported that Elizabeth and Robbie were engaged, before the actress referred to the musician as her “husband” in an interview with Variety in 2021.
Elizabeth previously said she wouldn’t want any child she has to follow her into the showbusiness industry.
Referencing her older twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen starting in Hollywood at such a young age, Elizabeth said it was a “hard no” as to whether she would want her child to become an actor.
However, she told The Times newspaper it would not be “a reflection” on her famous siblings – more a reflection on the world today.
She said: “Being younger today is already so complicated. To amplify it by being a child actor and then amplify it by social media, I just think it’s a lot for a kid’s development…
“I think my sisters are on a totally different path than your average child actor.”
