Two campers have miraculously escaped unscathed after their sleeping trailer was shot-up in a late-night incident in WA’s Mid West.
Police were called to a campsite on Carnarvon-Mullewa Road in Mullewa, 440km north of Perth, just after 9pm following reports of a shooting incident.
When officer arrived, they found that the camper trailer that sustained damage “consistent with” a bullet hole, a WA Police statement said.
“Two people were occupying the camper trailer at the time of the incident; however, no injuries were sustained.
“Further information indicates a vehicle was heard leaving the area shortly after the incident.”
Police inquiries into the the shooting are ongoing and anyone with information about should contact Crime Stoppers.
