A protest erupted in Maharashtra’s Kalyan city after candidates appearing for the High Court Clerk recruitment typing skill test alleged serious technical glitches at an examination centre, disrupting the assessment process and leaving hundreds of aspirants frustrated.
The demonstration took place outside the examination centre located at the APMC Market, where a large number of candidates staged a sit-in from the morning, demanding immediate action over the alleged irregularities.

According to the protesting candidates, repeated server failures, computer malfunctions and other technical issues affected the smooth conduct of the typing test. They claimed that the disruptions hampered their performance and raised concerns about the fairness and transparency of the recruitment process.
As the agitation intensified, candidates reportedly stopped the vehicle of District and Sessions Judge Parveen Sayyed near the examination venue. Protesters claimed that the judge’s car remained halted for nearly one-and-a-half hours while they highlighted their grievances and demanded intervention in the matter.
The candidates insisted that the authorities address the technical failures and ensure that no aspirant is disadvantaged because of problems beyond their control. Many called for a detailed inquiry into the conduct of the examination and a fair solution for those affected.
The protest also drew attention after social activist Abhijit Deepke interacted with the demonstrators through a video call. Addressing the agitating candidates, Deepke urged them to remain firm in their demands.
“Do not back down until the issue is resolved,” he told the students during the virtual interaction.
Following the call, the candidates decided to continue their protest, maintaining that the examination process must be reviewed and corrective measures implemented. They demanded an impartial investigation into the alleged irregularities and sought assurances that affected candidates would receive appropriate relief.
The protesters further urged the administration to take immediate steps to resolve the issue and complete the recruitment process in a transparent and equitable manner.
As of the latest reports, the sit-in protest outside the APMC Market examination centre was continuing, with candidates awaiting a response from the authorities regarding their demands.
