Céline Dion is in full training mode ahead of her massive Paris residency, revealing she’s currently doing 90‑minute Pilates workouts three times a week and taking ballet classes to get performance‑ready.
The music icon, 58, opened up about her return to the spotlight, saying she’s embracing every part of being back in public.
She told Harper’s BAZAAR UK October ICONS 2026 issue: “If you don’t want to sign autographs and you don’t want to get yourself pretty and you don’t want to be disturbed because your pasta is going to get cold, you can always stay home. But look at what you have.”
The My Heart Will Go On singer also opened up about living with stiff‑person syndrome, the rare autoimmune condition that at times left her in such intense pain she could no longer walk.
Quoting Kevin from the festive classic Home Alone, she said: “It is a progressive condition. I don’t like to say ‘disease.’ Disease makes you go like this, ‘Kevin, you’re such a disease.'”
Her upcoming stint at Paris’ La Défense Arena – running from September 12, 2026 to May 29, 2027 – promises a major comeback moment after her long break from the stage.
The Think Twice hitmaker will deliver her first live performances since 2022 at the 40,000‑capacity venue.
She said: “It’s been so long, I would like to offer them something to show how I’ve missed them.”
The singer, who recently returned to the public eye with her documentary I Am: Céline Dion, explained why she chose to share her health journey so openly.
She said: “They [her fans] paid for tickets. They bought my records. They gave me that luxury. So the least I can do is tell them that I’m alive.”
During her years away, Céline found comfort in nature.
She said: “I love trees so much, and I had this vision of myself trying to disappear through the leaves.”
Céline also looked back on her childhood days singing in her family’s piano bar, joking that she was so young she could’ve been “arrested” for being there.
She quipped: “Ten years old and I’m in a bar. I could’ve been arrested. But you know what? The police officers joined and sang with us. There was not a lot of crime then.”
Elsewhere, the Power of Love hitmaker said she believes fans connect with her because she’s willing to be raw, honest and completely open about her life.
She told the publication: “It’s got to be because I’m an open book. I’m honest, and it’s not always pretty. Sometimes it’s happy things, sometimes it’s sad, but it’s called life.”
