Hyderabad: Congress officials criticized the Centre for denying southwestern states the right to travel to the US, claiming that it was only handing out permits to southern states.
The Telangana CM had intended to travel to the UK and the US for a 10-day attend.
He decided to go back to Hyderabad from London on August 23 after being denied the request for a permit.
It is crucial for the Chief Ministers to visit and identify potential areas for capital investment because a sizable diaspora of Non-Resident Indians ( NRIs ) from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh reside in the United States, according to Mallikarjun Kharge, who addressed reporters at his residence in Kalaburagi on Saturday, August 22.
It is “deeply harsh” to deny travel authorization in this manner. Foreign investment benefits a position, strengthens the country, and opens up employment opportunities. The Central Government is purposefully obstructing these efforts, and it is doing so under the impression that all assets may be routed through it rather than allowing strong local relationship. This strategy is necessarily incorrect, and I firmly condemn it,” he said.
Just Viksit Gujarat, no Viksit Bharat: Priyank Kharge.
Priyank Kharge, the state’s secretary of home affairs, claimed that the Centre was only batting for” Viksit Gujarat” and that it was “investigating every dollar going” in BJP-ruled state.
” The Centre is becoming increasingly hostile toward southwestern states by refusing to give Telangana Chief Minister @revanth_anumula garu social clearance for his formal US attend. It is repulsive to the MEA’s claim that the program was” no acceptable.” What precisely qualifies as incorrect? signing MoUs for your state and visiting top colleges? What is acceptable next? Every purchase, organization, and cooperation being honed in Gujarat and additional BJP-ruled states? He stated in a blog on X.
He recalls that his standard US group was denied certification last year, only for the same plan to get approved once his title was removed.
The Center is only promoting collaborative democracy while referring to southern states as second-in-line stakeholders. I was previously denied rights, but the Ministry of External Affairs hasn’t yet responded. Viksit Gujarat, no Viksit Bharat, is MoShah’s goal has always been clear.
Revanth owing Mallikarjun Kharge
After the Centre denied him permission to travel to the US, CM Revanth thanked Mallikarjun Kharge and various group leaders for supporting him on Sunday, August 23.
Reddy stated in a blog on” X” that:” My deepest love for the strong support from our head and Congress party national leader, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji @kharge on the matter of the Center denying me permission to travel to the USA. I am very appreciative of my party, as well as all the country’s leaders and citizens who supported this problem in the interest of the land.
Reddy claimed to have finished organizing his meetings and events in London.
” I am thankful for the unwavering help that I have received in the last three weeks. After the MEA ( Central Govt. ) denied permission for my USA tour for political reasons, the Telangana CM announced that I would be taking a flight back home to Hyderabad in a few hours rather than the original schedule.
CM Revanth’s approval denied
Due to the lack of “appropriate” programming for the visit, CM Reddy was denied social clearance for his planned vacation to the US, according to the Ministry of External Affairs on Friday.
Reddy’s business claimed that the CM had been forced to omit his trip to the US because the MEA had denied the request for the journey.
Reddy was scheduled to travel to the US schools of MIT, Harvard University, and other universities.
N Ramchander Rao, president of the Telangana BJP, said CM Reddy may respond to media reports that he had attempted to meet with Zohran Mamdani, the mayor of New York, during his now-abandoned US visit.
But, CMO sources claimed that a conference with Mamdani was not included in the CM’s proposed travel schedule in the US.
