He was taken to a hospital for treatment following the encounter.
Muskan was allegedly stabbed to death inside her rented home, where she was alone at the time of the attack. She suffered multiple stab wounds and was rushed to a hospital, where she later died.
The 21-year-old was a student and also worked part-time as a model.
Police had earlier said that Muskan and Imran knew each other and were investigating the motive behind the killing. Imran, a gym trainer, had been absconding after the murder, prompting police to form multiple teams to trace him.
According to the owner of a gym where Muskan had previously worked out, she had attended the facility for around six months before leaving after her membership expired. Imran had also worked at the same gym as a trainer for a few months before quitting.
Muskan’s brother, Aakash, had alleged that Imran was responsible for stabbing her to death. Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
