Jules Neale has revealed she’s in good spirits and “healing” amid a tumultuous week in which both she and Tess Crosley broke their silence on the AFL relationship scandal that unfolded in late 2025.
The demise of Jules’ marriage to Brisbane Lions midfielder Lachie Neale unfolded in the public eye in December after she rejected reports the pair were “working through” relationship issues, declaring she had been “betrayed in the most unimaginable way”.
Sharing her truth on Wednesday with the Pretty Sure podcast, the 36-year-old said news of the affair travelled through the tight-knit circle of partners at the Lions, and that it wasn’t a one-time indiscretion.
“I guess it was an ongoing, four-month affair with my best friend behind my back,” she said of the betrayal.
In a curiously timed interview with Daily Mail’s The Debrief podcast released on Thursday, Tess hinted at taking accountability, but did not own up to any particular actions.
“I have made some bad decisions I deeply regret, but I believe that I’m not a bad person,” she repeatedly said.
The two tell-alls have the AFL and influencer worlds talking, with Jules posting to her Instagram Stories on Friday expressing her gratitude for the support she’d received.
“GM Your (sic) beautiful messages are so healing,” she wrote.
“Sending so much love x”.
The message followed a similar post she made shortly after her interview was released, in which the mother of two admitted she had been overwhelmed by the love and empathy directed her way.
“I’m finding it hard to find the words to describe the gratitude I have for the love and support I’ve received today🤍”, she began.
“Sharing something so personal and vulnerable is never easy, so every message, comment and kind word has meant more to me than you probably realise.
“Thank you for holding so much space for me, for cheering me on and for reminding me just how kind people can be. I feel extremely grateful for every single one of you. 🥹
“Love, Jules 🤍”.
Jules moved back to WA shortly after the scandal broke, where she has since returned to her profession of hairdressing and taken on work as a content creator and brand ambassador.
Meanwhile, Tess remains a full-time mother who resides in Queensland with her son, and admitted she is still close friends with her former partner Ben Crosley despite the pair no longer being together.
With each party having moved on eight months after the saga, Lachie recently unveiled new girlfriend Emma Field, who Jules learned of via the media.
“Yes, so that’s a completely new person that I wasn’t aware of; I am now because of articles, but yeah, found out like everybody else,” she said.
