Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed all hospitals across the state to remain on alert amid concerns over swine flu and ensure continuous monitoring of the situation.
The Chief Minister instructed district magistrates and health department officials to maintain special vigilance in their respective districts and regularly review healthcare arrangements. Hospitals have also been directed to keep isolation wards ready and ensure adequate stocks of medicines and testing kits.

Officials have been asked to conduct regular reviews of swine flu cases and ensure that there is no lapse in preparedness or patient care. Any significant change in the situation must be reported to the state government immediately.
The directions aim to ensure timely detection, treatment and containment of any potential rise in swine flu cases across Uttar Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Delhi has reported more than 2,600 H1N1 cases so far, with 166 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours. The rise in cases has prompted the Delhi government to review hospitals’ preparedness and assess arrangements for dealing with influenza.
The increase in H1N1 cases comes amid a rise in respiratory illnesses being reported in the city. Health authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation, and hospitals are being assessed to ensure that they are prepared to manage patients if the number of cases increases further.
