The gun combination of jockey Aaron Bullock and trainers Paul Messara and Leah Gavranich will attempt to win half the card at Scone’s Tuesday meeting.
Bullock has had a great association with Messara and Gavranich, and they will be out to start the day at Scone in strong style when Joika contests the Darley Class 1 & Maiden Plate (2200m).
A four-year-old mare by Maurice, Joika was a winner at Scone in maiden company three starts ago. She was since a close-up third at Newcastle before finishing down the track there when last produced.
Joika has the advantage of gate one in the Scone event and is poised to bounce back to form.
First starter Tasman Deel will be ridden by Bullock for Messara and Gavranich when it lines up in the Arrowfield Country Boosted Maiden Handicap (1300m).
Tasman Deel is also a four-year-old and is by Dundeel.
He’s had three barrier trials to be tuned up for his debut and was placed in the first two, finishing close to the winner when running third in the second of them at Tamworth.
Heathcliff will represent Messara and Gavranich when partnered by Bullock in the Magic Millions Country Boosted Class 1 Handicap (1400m).
Heathcliff, a four-year-old son of Snitzel, broke his maiden at start three when scoring at Muswellbrook at the end of July.
He comes to the Scone event on the back of a last start fourth at Gunnedah.
Messara and Gavranich round out their day when Bullock steers another first starter, Party Rebel, in the Scone RSL F&M Maiden Plate (1100m).
A four-year-old mare by Night Of Thunder, Party Rebel has had four trials in preparation for her debut and the latest two have resulted in a Tamworth win and a third at Muswellbrook.
Bullock has one other ride at Scone in the shape of the Kris Lees trained Herman Said in the Vinery Stud Class 3 Handicap (1200m).
Herman Said was placed when resuming from a spell before finishing down the track at his latest outing.
