Rapper Badshah and Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi announced their separation in a joint social media statement on Monday night, putting an end to weeks of speculation surrounding their relationship. The announcement comes just five months after the two got married.
The former couple shared a joint statement on their respective Instagram Stories, officially announcing their separation months after they got married in an intimate ceremony in March.

“I and Isha Rikhi have mutually decided to part ways and move forward on our separate paths. This decision has been made with mutual respect, and we request everyone to kindly respect our privacy during this time. This will be our only statement on the matter. We sincerely request that there be no further speculation or assumptions regarding our relationship (sic),” Badshah wrote on his Instagram Stories.
Speculation about trouble in Badshah and Isha Rikhi’s marriage began circulating on social media in July.
That month, Isha shared a montage of pictures and videos featuring herself and Badshah. “Every storm is a lesson. Every prayer is hope,” she captioned the post, adding a heartbreak and folded-hands emoji. The cryptic message soon sparked speculation about trouble in their relationship.
More recently, Isha’s mother, Poonam Rikhi, also shared a series of posts centred around karma, adding further fuel to the rumours.
Isha had publicly confirmed her marriage to Badshah during an Instagram Ask Me Anything session in June.
Their separation announcement also comes amid reports that Isha could be among the contestants on Bigg Boss 20, which is set to be hosted by Salman Khan.
Badshah was previously married to Jasmine Masih. The couple separated and finalised their divorce in 2020. They share a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh, who was born in January 2017.
