Traffic movement at Kisan Chowk (Gaur Chowk) in Greater Noida West is set to change from tonight, September 3, as construction work linked to the under-construction underpass begins on the road surface. The Greater Noida West traffic diversion is expected to affect vehicles passing through the junction for around two weeks. The work involves laying Pavement Quality Concrete on sections above the underpass. Around 25 metres of road on either side of the junction will be affected. With Kisan Chowk being a busy route connecting several parts of Greater Noida West, commuters have been advised to drive carefully and follow instructions from traffic police deployed at the site.

KISAN CHOWK TRAFFIC DIVERSION FROM TONIGHT

According to Greater Noida Authority project general manager AK Singh, construction of the concrete road will take place on both sides of the underpass. Each section will be around 25 metres long.

The work could restrict vehicle movement through these stretches, potentially adding to traffic pressure at Gaur Chowk. The traffic police will be deployed at the site to regulate vehicles and keep movement as smooth as possible.

GREATER NOIDA WEST TRAFFIC TO BE MONITORED

The construction work is expected to take around two weeks. During this period, traffic arrangements may be changed depending on the situation on the ground.

If congestion builds up, alternate traffic arrangements may be introduced to keep vehicles moving. Commuters travelling through Kisan Chowk and the surrounding areas should therefore expect some changes and follow directions given by traffic personnel.

GAUR CHOWK UNDERPASS WORK CONTINUES

The latest traffic diversion comes as construction of the Gaur Chowk underpass continues. The project is aimed at improving movement through one of Greater Noida West’s key junctions.

The current concrete work is being carried out over the upper portion of the underpass. For motorists, however, it means another temporary disruption on a stretch that already sees heavy traffic.

Drivers using the 130-metre road near Char Murti Chowk are also advised to remain cautious during the construction period. The Authority has requested traffic police deployment and stressed the need for suitable arrangements to prevent avoidable jams.

For now, commuters passing through Kisan Chowk from tonight should allow some extra time, stay alert near the construction zone and follow on-ground traffic instructions.
