Sacked radio host Jackie O Henderson has claimed ARN omitted details about her fallout with former co-host Kyle Sandilands to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
The radio queen is suing her former employer and its subsidiary the Commonwealth Broadcasting Corporation in the Federal Court, alleging she was adversely sacked because she could no longer worth with Sandilands on the KIIS FM breakfast show.
The pair were dumped from the network following an on-air clash in February, when Sandilands criticised Henderson’s interest in astrology, saying she was “off with the fairies”, “unfocused” and did not “give a s***”.
In fresh documents filed in court, Henderson claims ARN failed to inform investors about the psychological damage she suffered from her co-hosts disparaging remarks.
Her former employer hit back arguing Henderson insisted “those matters be kept confidential.”
But the radio queen argues the “emphasised allegation” suggests she was responsible for any loss or damage caused by ARN’s deceptive ASX statement because of her “insistence on confidentiality”.
“That allegation is embarrassing because it is wholly illogical in circumstances where there is no causal link (and no attempt to plead one has been made) between Ms Henderson’s insistence on confidentiality and the content of ARN’s ASX announcement,” the documents state.
In March, ARN informed investors Henderson gave notice because “she ‘cannot continue to work with Sandilands.’”
“Accordingly, ARN has terminated the service agreement with Henderson Media, under which Ms Henderson presents the Kyle and Jackie O show,” a statement to the ASX read.
“ARN has also offered Ms Henderson the possibility of an alternative show on the ARN network.
“ARN has also provided written notice to Mr Kyle Sandilands and Quasar Media Services stating that it considers that Mr Sandilands behaviour during the show on 20 February 2026 is an act of serious misconduct, which is in breach of ARN’s services agreement with Quasar Media, under which Mr Sandilands presents the Kyle and Jackie O Show.”
It is understood Sandilands has settled with ARN for $12m to be paid out over three years.
In a statement of claim, Henderson said she was seeking compensation for at least $82m after her 10-year, $100m contract was torn up.
Henderson’s matter is set down for a blockbuster trial next month.
