Indian photographer Jijo Pulikkathodi from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates ( UAE), had been attempting his luck with 17 friends for just four months when their shared ticket won a USD 1 million ( Rs 9.50 crore ) prize.

The 41-year-old from Kerala won the Millennium Millionaire Series 556 on Wednesday, September 9 at Concourse B of Dubai International Airport with the passport range 4891.

On August 22, Pulikkathodi purchased the seat online and paid the fee with his 17 American companions. The party had been collaborating on the promo for three to four months.
