A man has been shot and areas surrounding the Perth suburb of Hamilton Hill are in lockdown as police look for the culprits.
The shooting happened at a house in Owen Place, Hamilton Hill, sometime before 4.35am on Sunday.
A large contingent of police are at the house and searching the area for two men, said to have been dressed in all black.
The shooting victim was taken to hospital by ambulance and is said to have serious injuries.
The was a heavy police presence on Sunday morning with officers patrolling near Owen Place, Tuart Trail and Karda Way.
Police have asked people to stay away from the search zone and anyone who lives within to lock their doors and windows and remain inside.
Anyone who sights the two men or sees any suspicious behaviour is urged to call triple zero immediately.
