Hanuman Ansh beats Haiwaan, Mirzapur on Day 38; extends box office domination

Hanuman Ansh continued its extraordinary box office dominance on Day 38, comfortably outpacing Friday’s new release Haiwaan and the holdover crime drama Mirzapur: The Movie. The Neem Karoli Baba-inspired hit collected a nett of Rs 0.94 crore today across 1,259 shows, bringing its total domestic nett collection to Rs 194.07 crore. Meanwhile, new arrival Haiwaan struggled to find momentum over its opening weekend, earning Rs 0.06 crore nett on Day 3, as Mirzapur: The Movie maintained its steady second-week run on Day 10 with a daily nett collection of Rs 0.41 crore.

According to industry tracking portal Sacnilk, the overall domestic performance for Hanuman Ansh remains remarkably strong in its sixth week. Running across 1,259 shows nationwide today, the film’s total India gross collections have reached Rs 229.26 crore. With final daily figures still being reported across several circuits, the devotional hit continues to lead the daily box office charts.

In contrast, Haiwaan logged a slow start over its opening weekend, registering just 920 shows across the country on Day 3. According to Sacnilk, today’s nett collection of Rs 0.06 crore brings the film’s domestic nett total to Rs 5.56 crore, alongside an India gross figure of Rs 6.67 crore. Meanwhile, Mirzapur: The Movie posted a steady showing across 1,368 shows on Day 10, bringing its total India nett collection to Rs 171.86 crore and domestic gross total to Rs 204.87 crore as per Sacnilk data.

Hanuman Ansh has registered a remarkable box office recovery after an initial slow start. The devotional film opened to just Rs 10 lakh and closed its first two weeks with a combined net total of Rs 1.48 crore. Public interest surged noticeably after Day 15, resulting in massive third, fourth, and fifth-week returns. The film went on to nett Rs 61 crore during its fourth week, followed by a monumental Rs 90 crore in week five.

Meanwhile, Haiwaan marks Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan‘s on-screen reunion after 17 years. The film also marks the final film appearance of veteran actor Asrani, who passed away in 2025. Co-written and directed by Priyadarshan, the crime thriller is produced by KVN Productions and Thespian Films. It is an official remake of Priyadarshan’s own 2016 Malayalam hit Oppam, which featured Mohanlal and Samuthirakani.

Haiwaan also features Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Saiyami Kher in key roles, alongside a cameo appearance by Mohanlal.
