We are more than halfway through the race and Charles Leclerc is flying.
However, Kimi Antonelli is hunting and will likely snatch first place before the race is over.
Meanwhile, Piastri has voiced his frustrations on his damaged wing over the radio, after clipping the barrier.
So why was Lando Norris’ pitstop so slow?
We’ve just heard from McLaren who have confirmed the slow pitstop was due to human error and a problem with a wheel gun.
Norris is still sitting in fifth place and Piastri is in seventh. The Australian is on the hard tyres and will be looking to make them last.
Charles Leclerc is currently leading the race, however he still needs to stop. The Ferrari driver did not stop during the virtual safety car.
We are closing in on lap 22/57 and Kimi Antonelli is hunting Charles Leclerc for the lead.
After that horror pitstop, Norris is stuck in fifth place, behind George Russell in fourth and Max Verstappen in third.
Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri has found himself back where he started – in seventh place.
That’s looking pretty bleak for Norris.
After missing the window for the pitstop due to a virtual safety car, Lando Norris came into the pits but was marooned there for seven agonising seconds.
He’s come out behind Kimi Antonelli and has lost the lead of the race.
Sky Sports commentator Martin Brundle summarised it perfectly saying “It couldn’t have been worse for Lando.
“That’s turned the race on its head.”
Ouch.
As I mentioned before, the new Madring has very limited overtaking spots.
This is bad news for Piastri who desperately needs to climb up that scoreboard and get further into the points.
In good news, we’ve just heard that Oscar Piastri’s yellow flag infringement has been dismissed.
Meanwhile, Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso, running in 17th and 18th, made contact as the latter tried a move up the inside.

It looks like Lewis Hamilton will need to retire his car. The Ferrari is spluttering and the seven-time world champion has dropped multiple places.
“I’ve got no brakes,” he says on the radio.
Max Verstappen has been told to give Lewis Hamilton his place back, after running wide during an earlier lap.
He’s responded with his typical colourful language but has relented.
“Mate, what the f-— are you guys talking about. He would have shunted,” he said.
“Like what are you guys talking about. If I just stay on the track, I am out of the race”.
Meanwhile, a flying Lando Norris is leading the pack, with Kimi Antonelli in second.
Oscar Piastri made contact twice with George Russell during the opening lap and has dropped down from seventh-to 10th place.
We are still waiting for broadcast repays of the contact but you can see the front left of Oscar Piastri’s wing is damaged.
The Australian is still in the race, but his car looks like it’s struggling.
