A prominent athlete who has alleged he was sexually touched and indecently assaulted by Alan Jones has taken the stand in the former broadcaster’s trial.

Mr Jones, 85, is standing trial in the NSW Local Court having pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching.

He has denied the allegations made by six male complainants, including a former athlete who can only be known as Complainant M.

Mr Jones has been charged with one count of indecent assault and one count of sexual touching relating to M.

It has been alleged that Mr Jones kissed M on the corner of his mouth at an event in 2015.

He is further alleged to have kissed M and pushed his body against the man’s thigh at Mr Jones’ Circular Quay apartment.

The man began his evidence on Monday.

He is giving evidence in the courtroom.

Previously, complainants have chosen to give evidence via videolink from a remote location.
