A former athlete who has alleged that Alan Jones twice kissed him without his consent has returned to a Sydney court for the second day of evidence.

Mr Jones is standing trial in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court having denied allegations that he kissed and groped six male alleged victims, including a man who can only be referred to as “Complainant M”.

M, a prominent ex-sportsman, has told the court that Mr Jones kissed him at a public event and several years later kissed him and pushed his genitals against his thighs inside the ex-talkback host’s Circular Quay apartment.

Mr Jones has pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching – one count of each relate to M.

M has returned to the witness box on Tuesday for the second day of his evidence.

On Monday, the man told the court that Mr Jones had previously kissed him on the cheek, but at a public event the broadcaster kissed him on the lips, leaving him embarrassed.

“I was kissed by the defendant and it was out of character for him in the way that he kissed me on that night,” M told the court.

“He kissed me close to my lips, not on my cheek.”

The man told the court that he was walking back to his table when Mr Jones approached him and kissed him.

M told the court that he “froze”, was in “disbelief” and did not understand why Mr Jones would kiss him in public.

M told the court that he continued to have contact with Mr Jones in the months and years after the alleged kiss.

He further told the court that Mr Jones kissed him on the mouth on the last occasion he saw the talkback host at his Macquarie St apartment.

M said that Mr Jones kissed him on the side of the lips and pushed his genitalia against his leg before he pushed him away.

M told the court that he “defiantly” told Mr Jones “OK mate” as he pushed him.

The trial continues.
