Sydney police have released footage of an alleged service station stabbing from late July which saw a teen rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The footage shows eight men jumping out of two cars to confront another group of three men, at the service station in Glenwood, in the northwest suburbs.

One of the group of three men can be seen holding a hatchet, and the men with him are holding what appear to be spanners.

The men encircling the trio are all wearing white medical or painters masks and appear to be holding weapons.

Police arrested and charged one 19-year-old the day after the incident, but on Wednesday released footage in the search for other people involved.

The clash happened at a service station shortly after midnight on July 29.

A 19-year-old man had later shown up at Blacktown Hospital with a serious stab wound to his arm, a police spokesperson said.

Police determined he had been stabbed at the service station on Old Windsor Road. The footage shows a white Ford Ranger with black stripes on the bonnet, and a black Mercedes Benz sedan.

“Following investigations, detectives – with assistance from Wollongong Police District – attended a hotel on Wilson Street, Wollongong (on July 30),” the police spokesperson said.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the hotel, 100km away, and charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He was refused bail, and his next court date is scheduled for September 25.

Police have released the footage, seven weeks after the incident, in hopes of tracking down the other men involved.

“As part of further inquiries, detectives are hoping to speak to a group of men who were seen in the area at the time of the incident,” the spokesperson said.

“The men were all seen wearing dark clothing and travelled to the scene in a black Mercedes Benz and a white Ford Ranger.”
