At least three people, including two children, have been killed in a Russian strike on Kyiv.
Kiev regional military governor Tymur Tkachenko said a girl, a boy and a woman were killed in a Russian strike on the Fastiv district on Saturday evening.
“There are no words to express the pain of this loss,” Tkachenko wrote on Telegram.
“This is an irreparable tragedy.”
The Kyiv Independent, citing Ukraine’s National Police, said the victims were a woman and her two-year-old son, along with a three-year-old girl. It was not clear if the girl was also the woman’s daughter.
Homes and a vehicle were damaged in the attack, Tkachenko said.
Kyiv and the surrounding region have been repeatedly targeted since Russia’s invasion began more than four-and-a-half years ago, with frequent air raid alerts recently.
